E Comp Dai Wood receives Honorary Award at 291

On Friday 28 April E Comp David (Dai) Wood was made an Honorary member of the Vale of Jehoshaphat Chapter in Burnham on Sea.

Dai has had a long relationship with this chapter, being DC before becoming Scribe E for over 16 years, unfortunately due to some heath issues, Dai cannot always make the meetings these days. Richard Kilburn, Z, was delighted to present the award to Dai. In an emotional response Dai said how much it meant to him and the recent message sent to him by Ray Guthrie, thanking him for all his hard work.

Ray Guthrie was also there with Tim Adams acting as his DC. The evening was topped off by an excellent ceremony where Neil McGrath was exalted to the Chapter. With over 42 attending, it was a great evening, followed by a superb meal in a convivial atmosphere.

For those of you not in Royal Arch or were and have left, it has very much changed over the past few years, with Ray in charge it will continue to do so. Please contact your Royal Arch Rep or look at the website to enquire about joining or coming back.
