Chapter of St George – October 2022

On the last Thursday of the month the Chapter held an Exaltation ceremony with their Perfect Ritual. Many of the guests were unfamiliar with the Perfect working and found some of it more than interesting. The Chapter was opened with E Comp Mike Day MEZ taking the lead. A minute’s silence to respect the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth was taken and the normal procedures followed. Minutes for the previous were confirmed and Officers absent at the Installation Meeting were invested.

Ballots were taken for two Exaltees which proved perfect, thank goodness, and Bro Andy Hayes, a member of Vivary Lodge No 8654, was duly Exalted into the chapter. The work was undertaken by E Comp Mike Day and the last-minute (ie when he arrived) replacement for the Principle Sojourner by E Comp Ken Clarke, who undertook the work commendably.

The Chapter can look forward to another Exaltation in when they meet on 8th December.
