Annual Golf Challenge
With lives returning to normal the annual Golf Challenge between the Craft , Royal Arch, Mark and Knights Templar was able to take place on August 4th at Wedmore Golf Club.
With gorgeous sunshine and the fortification of bacon rolls and coffee the intrepid Royal Arch team, resplendent in their new Provincial shirts took to the course.
A nervous buzz of anticipation pervaded around the practice green not sure if it was much to do with the thought of the round ahead or of who could grab a buggy!
Our valiant team of David Dixon (captain), Ian Pamplin, Roger Earthrowl, Peter Ashby and Harry Price battled valiantly to a combined score of 167 points
However despite a challenge from the Mark Team, with Ray Guthrie scoring 41 points the overall winners were the shining Knights of KT with a triumphant score of 189.
Captain Dave Dixon commented “I tried to lead from the front, but I think it was more from the Western Front! Thanks to David Flack of the Craft for organising a splendid day today.”
Next year’s challenge is at the impressive Clevedon Golf Course so any budding Royal Arch golfers wishing to join in please contact David Dixon on
