TYNTESFIELD 4494 ROYAL ARCH CHAPTER MEETING 8th SEPTEMBER 2022
On Thursday 8th September, Tyntesfield Chapter held its 134th meeting, and installed its Principals. Prior to opening, news arrived of the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II and a moments silence was held in respect of the event.
The meeting began by welcoming E Comp Geoff Lester, 3rd Provincial Grand Principal. He was accompanied by E Comp Alan Trask, Prov ADC.
The main business of the evening was the Installation of the Principals for the ensuing year.
E Comp Martin Slocombe carried out an excellent Installation of E Comp Richard Hicken into the chair of Zerubbabel, plus presented the Robe Address. E Comp Richard Ellis and E Comp David Maddern were inducted as Haggai and Joshua.
The Principals appointed the officers with decorum. With Sojourners all being Companions.
The address to the Principals was presented by E Comp Geoff Lester. The Address to the Officers was presented by visitor E Comp David Parslow and Address to the Companions by visitor E Comp Matt Westley in his normal manner.
After the Risings the Chapter was closed in peace and harmony, plus first rendition of God Save the King for most of the Companions, the companions adjourned for the Festive Board of Prawn Cocktail; Steak Ale & Mushroom Pie followed by Lemon & Raspberry Roulade and Coffee, again up to the normal excellent Nailsea standard.
E Comp Geoff Lester also presented a Supreme Grand Chapter to Comp Stewart Galway.
A very pleasant evening was had by all.
Tyntesfield Chapter will have three exaltations during the forthcoming year in December, February and May. The next convocation will be an exaltation on 8th December 2022, plus in February 2023 will host a visit from St Augustine’s Chapter from Bristol. As always visitors always welcome.
