Forever hard working E Comp Peter Harris is the Liaison Officer for the NSMWA and is shown here accompanying them on one of their several trips out during the year visiting the Seamen’s Mission Headquarters at Portbury Dock, where they saw at first hand the facilities afforded to visiting sailors.

 They also received an interesting and informative talk on the work of the Mission from one of the two resident Chaplains, Steve Loader.  Following the talk the members were given a tour of the Port.

NSMWA members have made donations to the Mission as well making woolly hats, scarves, gloves and mittens for sailors to wear when at sea.  The NSMWA also raises money for other charities.

The NSMWA was formed in 1996 and is an independent self administering organisation .The photograph taken outside the Mission, shows the members with Chairlady Eileen Jackson MBE, Steve Loader and Peter Harris.
