Chapter of Brotherly Love 329 June meeting 2022
A regular Convocation of the Chapter was held on Thursday 16th June at the Yeovil Masonic Hall with a good turn out from members and guests.
Sadly the meeting started with E. Comp John Hawkins delivering a eulogy in respect of Harold ‘Taff’ Lewis who had passed to the Supreme Grand Chapter above on 14th May 2022 after which the companions stood to order to departed merit whilst our organist played a short piece of solemn music.
On a brighter note the meeting proceeded with the exaltation of Brother Stanley Victor Sherlock a member of the Lodge of Brotherly Love No 329. He was admitted in due form, obligated and exalted as a Royal Arch Mason. The ceremony proceeded in Ancient and Prescribed form of the Chapter’s own ritual. Comp Sherlock was invested, rewarded and decorated with the Badge, Jewel and Sash of a Royal Arch Mason. He was warmly welcomed into the Chapter by the Principals.
Following the usual business of the Chapter and Risings, the Chapter was closed and the Companions retired to the hall downstairs to enjoy a very pleasant meal with the usual the convivial company.
