Much Delayed Adair Installation
Like everybody else, a first meeting after a two-year gap!
After a delay of almost two years, on Wednesday the 27th of October, the Adair Chapter held their annual Installation ceremony. The chapter was honoured by the attendance of The Second Provincial Grand Principal, Excellent Companion Neil Hurcum accompanied by the Deputy Prov. Grand Director of Ceremonies, E Comp Richard Stone.
After The Most Excellent opened and welcomed his visitors E. Comp. John Bennet read out eulogies for those members who, since the last time we met, had sadly passed to the Grand Chapter Above. These were: The Most Excellent Grand Superintendent Barry Keith Woodside, together with Excellent Companion Bill Elliott and Companions Frank Mills and Alan Blackmore, the much missed chapter Organist.
E. Comp Tim Gosling then installed E. Comp Pete Murray as First Principal. E. Comp. Glynn Derrick was then inducted as Second Principal and E. Comp Tim Gosling who in the circumstances had kindly offered to continue as a principle, as third.
Afterward, at the festive board it was generally agreed that, although in our first meeting post pandemic we were fewer in number than before, it was good to begin to return to some form of normality and meet together once again. Hopefully numbers also will soon start to return to normal.
E. Comp. John Holman. (Treasurer & CLO, Adair Chapter)
